Dear Window Warehouse Customers,
Firstly, I hope you and your families are safe and well at this strange time.
Further to new guidelines set by the government, we would like to take this opportunity to update you on our activities and plans moving forward.
Our Activities During the Lockdown Period
Each week we have had regular senior management conference calls, to discuss the ever-changing situation and how best we can support our customers at this time.
We’ve been operating with a skeleton crew so that staff remain available for our customers including myself, Remi in our Sales department, Nicki in Accounts and Andy in IT.
We are continuing to quote for work and are planning our pipeline in order to effectively meet our customers’ needs.
Talking to suppliers has been important during this period so that we can resume production and fulfill orders swiftly and efficiently.
Preparing for a Return to Work
With this in mind, we are preparing our factory and offices for a safe return to work on Monday 11th May. Please bear in mind that this will be with a reduced staff initially so we can operate safely and within government guidelines. We will of course keep you updated with order information and lead times as best we can.
Communication will be key to the restart of manufacturing, so please stay in touch with us. We also recommend keeping in close contact with your customers who have ordered so that you can start planning your fitting schedule and know that they will be happy for you to visit them.

Tips and Tricks for Returning to Work
To help you make sales at this time Remi and I will continue to keep in touch with clever marketing tips and tricks in partnership with our Digital Partner ICAAL.
For instance, contacting homeowners via phone or video call and encouraging customers to send photos of the project via email will help you to successfully sell remotely.
You can also use our fast quoting engine via our website or apply for online quoting to order your products remotely. All these facilities are free of charge for you to use and will allow you to order products as normal despite the current situation.
It’s worth bearing in mind that internet usage is at an all-time high, so make sure you’re getting as much traffic through your website as possible. Now is the time to look at how it is performing.
As customers will be understandably wary of having people visit, it is important for installers to be suitably prepared to work in customers’ homes. To support you with this, Window Warehouse will be issuing masks, gloves and hand sanitisers to every installer while stocks last. We also recommend using polythene dust sheets rather than cotton as these can be recycled.
It is likely that use of the customers’ toilet facilities will be out of bounds during installations so you will need to make other arrangements. Also, the good old fashioned flask of tea and packed lunch will be making a comeback, as I think a cup of tea and bacon sandwiches may not be forthcoming from customers.
